As a Radiologic Technologist, you’ll be on the cutting edge of scientific progress, working with the latest advances in medical care. You’ll also be a member of a growing profession, as the number of medical imaging examinations performed in the United States increases every year. Opportunities to advance within the field are expanding as well. Whether you consider yourself technically adept or not, you will be comfortable studying radiologic technology. That’s because the field is part science, and part art.
Part of your coursework at 亚色视频 will include subjects such as anatomy, biology, mathematical literacy II, radiation safety, image analysis, equipment, and physics. You’ll learn to use聽computers to acquire and manipulate images, and you’ll work with some of the most technologically advanced equipment in the medical field. You will also learn to communicate with patients, solve problems and work with other members of the healthcare team, including doctors, nurses and experienced radiologic technologists. During this part of your education in the clinical setting, you’ll have a hands-on opportunity to practice your patient care skills and fine-tune your technical knowledge. You will develop skills that allow you to provide patient care that is accurate as well as compassionate.
A career in radiologic technology can lead in many directions. Radiologic technologists are needed in every healthcare setting. The boundaries of your career in radiologic technology are determined only by your own abilities and interests.

Program Notes
This program prepares you to be a Radiologic Technologist, generally in a health care setting. As a technologist, you will produce images used in the diagnosis of disease and injury, operating x-ray equipment and providing patient care as you do so. A Radiologic Technologist may continue education in areas such as sonography, nuclear medicine, cardiovascular-interventional techniques, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), fusion technology (PETCT), PACS Administrator, mammography, bone densitometry, research, education, registered radiologist assistant and radiation therapy.
亚色视频's Radiologic Technology Program consists of two years of combined academic and clinical education, the equivalent of 21 calendar months. Your clinical education will take place in cooperating area hospitals. All clinical sites are within 1 hour driving distance from campus. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from clinic, classes, and labs. The program consists of a clinic and 1 fully online course during the first summer term of the program. Upon completion of the academic and clinical competencies required for the accredited program, you must have earned an associate鈥檚 degree or higher, meet ARRT鈥檚 Ethics requirement, then pass the registry exam before earning ARRT credentials for certification and New York State licensure. All graduates must pass the ARRT examination to attain New York State Licensure in order to work in New York State.
In order to participate in clinical rotations, which are required to graduate from this program, students are required to submit proof of a current physical and up-to-date required vaccinations, including influenza. Specific instructions about required documentation and deadlines are provided by the Program Director.

Transfer Opportunities
The program is designed for both students planning to enter the workforce immediately, and for those looking to enhance skills and transfer to a four-year college to pursue a bachelor's degree. A radiologic technologist may continue their education in areas such as sonography, nuclear medicine, cardiovascular-interventional procedures, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), position emission tomography (PET), Fusion Imaging (PET/CT), Department Administration, PACS Administrator, quality management, bone densitometry, Research, education, Registered Radiologist Assistant, Physician Assistant, and radiation therapy.
